Procedure for opening an account:

  • Client can either download the form from the above link or visit the Equirus office in person.
  • The KYC details, Nomination form, Trading Preferences and other details are required to be filled.
  • The client has to affix his signature in the Account Opening form.
  • Attach self attested copies of the documents as per the list mentioned in the Client Registration form.
  • Submit the same at the Equirus Office.
  • The Form and the documents will be verified against the original and once the due diligence is complete the account will be opened and details of the account will be communicated with the client.

  • • 9 out of 10 individual traders in equity Futures and Options Segment, incurred net losses.
  • • On an average, loss makers registered net trading loss close to ₹ 50,000.

Initiation and the dispute resolution process

  • Any client shall first take up his/her/their grievance with Equirus on the mail id mentioned here in above.
  • If the grievance is not redressed satisfactorily, the client may escalate it through the escalation matrix of Equirus or in accordance with the SCORES guidelines, escalate the same through the SCORES Portal in accordance with the process laid out therein.
  • After exhausting all available options for resolution of the grievance, if the client is still not satisfied with the outcome, he/she/they can initiate dispute resolution through the ODR Portal.
  • Alternatively, the client can initiate dispute resolution through the ODR Portal if the grievance lodged with the Equirus was not satisfactorily resolved or at any stage of the subsequent escalations mentioned here in above.
1) Prevent unauthorised transactions in your account --> Update your mobile numbers/email IDs with your stock brokers. Receive information of your transactions directly from Exchange on your mobile/email at the end of the day. 2) Prevent Unauthorized Transactions in your demat account --> Update your Mobile Number with your Depository Participant. Receive alerts on your Registered Mobile for all debit and other important transactions in your demat account directly from NSDL/CDSL on the same day. 3) KYC is one time exercise while dealing in securities markets - once KYC is done through a SEBI registered intermediary (broker, DP, Mutual Fund etc.), you need not undergo the same process again when you approach another intermediary. 4) No need to issue cheques by investors while subscribing to IPO. Just write the bank account number and sign in the application form to authorise your bank to make payment in case of allotment. No worries for refund as the money remains in investor's account.
