Vijay Agrawal, Managing Director - Investment Banking at Equirus attended a panel discussion on the Impact of Consolidation and Realignment of Cement Industry at Cement Expo Forum 2025 organised by Construction World.
The panel was moderated by Ravleen Sethi, Director & Head Corporate Ratings, CareEdge Group with co-panel members Lalit Raj Meena, President, IIMM; Vinayak Vipul, Partner - Energy Practice, EY-Parthenon and Jagdeep Verma, Head - Business Consulting & Corporate Development, Holtec Consulting Private Limited.
Vijay highlighted that consolidation has impacted cement price across India, particularly in Eastern and Southern India. He shared that the objectives of such acquisitions are to gain market share, improve logistics costs by supplying material to the nearest markets, and limestone mining for brownfield/ greenfield expansions.
