ASSOCHAM 5th Green Investment & Sustainability Conclave 2026

Vijay Agrawal, Sector Lead – Infrastructure, Equirus, shared his views as a panelist at the ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India) 5th Green Investment & Sustainability Conclave on “Operationalizing India's Climate Finance Taxonomy: From Policy Blueprint to Market Practice.”

He highlighted the need to create digital infrastructure for carbon credits, similar to a shares demat account, and to establish a dedicated trading exchange, like NSE/BSE, for trading these credits. He also recommended granting priority sector lending status to green financing to help reduce interest costs.
